Aisha Adkins, Manager of Training, is an advocate, storyteller, and caregiver based in Atlanta, Georgia. In 2013, she became a caregiver when her mother was diagnosed with Frontotemporal Dementia. She came to Caring Across originally as a care activist in 2016 and participated in the inaugural Care Fellowship in 2019. While earning her Master’s of Public Administration from Georgia State University’s Andrew Young School of Policy Studies, she fulfilled internship requirements as Organizing & Legislative Analyst. In addition to her policy work with CAG, she is also the co-executive director of the millennial caregiver nonprofit Love Labor Project and sits on a number of boards for caregiver-focused projects and nonprofits. When she is not advocating for older adults and the people who care for them, she enjoys live jazz music, hanging out in parks with family and friends, and hopes to start a collection of Afro-surrealist art.
